Well, canonically, she can do that. Look at StrikerS. My guess is that the author have seen potential in Vivio’s Kaiser form AND the Mahou Shoujo part of the Vivid title. So he have likely gone for pre-Sailor Moon magical girl tropes. If you guys have watched Magical Emi and Creamy Mami, you’d understand.
Hatsune Miku! Well, according to someone it is very likely ANOTHER Belkan king. Ixpellia from SSX was one. It makes me think that Tsuzuki (the writer for Nanoha franchise) loves to explore the Belkan side of the NAnoha lore. I mean, another Belka-related character is introduced in Force.
With two titles running in parallel, there is a common theory stating that Tsuzuki want to test the waters and decide what direction the franchise should take. A Striker-ish direction from SSX and Force, or a comeback to its Mahou Shoujo sources with the flavor of Nanoha franchise with Vivid. Whatever success one of them should have may push the executives to produce another series, based on one of the two manga.

I wish they could drop all that militar bullcrap that made some moments of the last chapters of Nanoha 1 really stupid. Haven’t watched A yet but I hope they did drop (or reduce) it.
I watched some StrikerS with some friends… I couldn’t tolerate it :( Not even Hayate could save that show :(
About damn time they put the moe back into the Nanoha series again.

@ Aer: I don’t know if you ever read the Mai-HiME manga, but the character of Mashiro Kazahara had an Element (weapon) called Golden Clock, and it granted her the ability to control time using music terminology, the ushers of the clock, however, were white rabbits that did her bidding, lol, and she was pretty damn strong, don’t judge a book by it’s cover ^_^
A more accurate statement would be “put the mahou shoujo back”. Moe was still present in Strikers, cases in point: Reinforce Zwei, Caro and Vivio.

Yeah, it was SO great but StrikerS is also the most criticized (in very negative ways) of the Nanoha series.
As a double edged sword effect, the fandom actually got its size of today with StrikerS! Before that, not a lot would watch a Nanoha because of the lolis and the guilt associated with them.
There a bunch nice fighting …. A’s and 1st series was okay but strikers is awesome they are captions and such
To: Sheba: that type of anime isn’t as popular as what strikers has .. but even so what they talk is interesting at 1st it may seems that way then it just gets better
